Walking the gauntlet of ideological booths and stands that line the main footpath through UC Berkeley and passed a card table draped with a painted sign reading “Informal Debate Society.” The woman behind the card table was holding up a piece of looseleaf notebook paper, on which was scrawled in crude ballpoint ink: “Debate Me Now!” No indication what topics she might be prepared to debate, which made the prospect all the more intriguing. If I had had more time I might have taken her up on the offer. Another day.

That’s good. Is it just me, or does it strike you as though this woman approached it after being inspired by Lucy van Pelt’s infamous “Psychiatric Help” desk?

The Overflyeration Partnership in conjunction with Wheeler Hall building management has implemented new flyering regulations for the 2007-2008 academic year in Wheeler Hall. Posting regulations allow each campus organization or group posting in Wheeler one flyer per public bulletin board. Additionally, groups and organization can no longer post on any other surface in the building. That means no posting in classrooms, bathrooms, doors, windows, etc.
These regulations are being strictly enforced during the upcoming academic year. Groups risk losing advertising privileges if found in violation of these regulations. Because of this, it is highly recommended that your group take the time to become familiar with these regulations.
